Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson, an American musician, producer and singer also writes. Most famously, she is known for her character Tara Maclay on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and was also the director and starred in her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was part of the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977, in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle Benson is her artistic younger sister. Benson's father was Jewish while her mother was a Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. She grew up going to a Reform church in Alabama.
