
Julie Ellen "Tawny," Kitaen was an American model and actress. She lived between May 7th, 2021 until August 5, 1961. Her career began as a TV actor, appearing in television films Malibu (1983), California Girls (1985). She also starred as Gwendoline, a comedian in the Land of the Yik-Yak (both 1984) as well as Bachelor Party (1985). Kitaen received a lot of attention for her performances in numerous rock music videos of heavy metal, including Ratt's "Back for More" (1984) and Whitesnake's "Still of the Night", "Is This Love" and "Here I Go Again" (all 1987).In the 2000s, Kitaen transitioned into appearing in reality TV shows, including The Surreal Life (2006) and Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) and "Here I Go Again," the one that focused on Kitaen's issues with substance abuse. Kitaen was born Julie Kitaen in San Diego, California in 1961, the youngest of three children born to Linda Kitaen (nee Taylor) who was a housewife and a once-in-a-lifetime beauty pageant contestant, and Terry Kitaen, an employee of a neon sign business. Kitaen was born to a Russian-Jewish father as well as an Scottish mother. Kitaen was raised Jewish. Kitaen was first introduced to the name "Tawny", at 12 years old, on her own initiative.
